Heather currently dedicates her law practice to out-of-court dispute resolution. She resolves complex matrimonial and family law matters by way of traditional negotiation, mediation, and Collaborative Law. As part of her practice, she also negotiates and drafts prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. Having extensive experience as a mediator, Heather has been selected for inclusion on the New York County Supreme Court’s Roster of Matrimonial Mediators and regularly provides consulting attorney services to clients proceeding through the mediation process with an outside mediator.
Whether serving as an attorney or mediator, Heather has been described as thorough, efficient, and creative—especially in working through sophisticated financial issues and tailored parenting arrangements. Without losing sight of family dynamics, she strives to achieve favorable results for her clients that meet their unique goals.
Heather has been formally trained in mediation through the Center for Understanding in Conflict and in Collaborative Law through the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals. She has been honored by Super Lawyers for the last five years through selection to its Rising Stars list.
Heather graduated from Fordham University School of Law and received her undergraduate degree magna cum laude with honors from Muhlenberg College.
Q: Where’d you grow up?
A: I’m a New Yorker and grew up in Brooklyn and Westchester.
Q: What do you do outside of work?
A: Spend time with loved ones and discover new and interesting places to dine.
Q: Favorite place in New York City?
A: The New York Botanical Garden, because it’s beautiful in every season. From the rose garden in full bloom to the holiday light show, it always feels wondrous and peaceful.
Q: Random fact about you?
A: I played classical piano as a child.

A: Yes, with one child.
Q: Favorite part of your work?
A: Having the privilege to help clients navigate, in a constructive manner, one of the most stressful times in their lives. It’s deeply rewarding to be able to empower clients to make well-informed decisions. They emerge from the process prepared to start the next chapter, knowing that their kids, if any, have been protected as much as possible.
