Alex is an associate at Mason Law & Mediation, LLC and specializes in divorce and custody negotiation, mediation, collaborative law, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. Trained in mediation through the Center for Understanding in Conflict, Alex is dedicated to helping clients navigate family law matters with empathy and a focus on productive and peaceful resolution, while avoiding the stress of court.
Before joining MLM, Alex spent more than eight years practicing family law in New York City. Her work spanned both litigation and alternative dispute resolution, giving her a strong foundation in addressing a wide range of client needs. She earned her law degree from New York Law School and her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.
Alex is passionate about fostering understanding and collaboration in the legal process to support her clients during life’s most challenging transitions.
When she’s not working, Alex enjoys living in Manhattan with her husband, two young children, and their English bulldog, Hank, cherishing the balance between work and family life.
Q: Where did you grow up?
A: Upstate New York, in a suburb outside of Albany.
Q: What do you do outside of work?
A: With two young kids, most of my free time is spent at the park, grabbing an early meal at a local restaurant, or walking our dog Hank while listening to a podcast.
Q: Random fact about you?
A: In college, I studied abroad with Semester at Sea and circumnavigated the globe, visiting 13 countries.
Q: Favorite restaurant?
A: I worked at Outback Steakhouse in high school, and it is still my favorite nostalgic place to eat.
Q: Married?
A: Yes, with two girls, and an English bulldog, Hank.
Q: Favorite part of your work?
A: Helping people find a way forward during what’s often one of the most difficult times in their lives, with respect, clarity and compassion.
